JERUSALEM – On Wednesday 2nd December, The Latin Patriarchate had the pleasure to receive Brazilian, Chilean, Mexican and Portuguese Heads of Mission representatives for Palestine.
His Beatitude Fouad Twal, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, welcomed Minister Sergio Sierra from Mexico, Ambassador Paulo Franca from Brazil, Ambassador Francisco Bernales, from Chile, and Head of Mission Pedro Abreu from Portugal. They also had the chance to meet with Henrique Abreu, Head of the Project Development Office, to learn about the projects, works and mission carried out by the Latin Patriarchate in the region.
The Patriarch discussed with his guests the difficulties and challenges in the region, emphasizing the role the Patriarchate plays side by side with other religious, civil and governmental institutions, to help the lives of the people in the Holy Land as a whole.
The diplomats have shown great solidarity towards the mission of the Church in the Middle East, and welcomed future projects and charitable activities that the Latin Patriarchate promotes in the West Bank and Gaza.
