MARJ ALHAMAM – The work started at the end of 2015 aiming to be concluded during the course of 2016.
The parish of Marj Al-Hamam is one of the parishes of the Latin Patriarchate in Jordan. The town of Marj Al-Hamam lies on the outskirts of Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Its privileged location allows easy access from many important areas. The aim of the new church building project is to serve not only the parish of Marj Al-Hamam, but also the wider district of Amman, Seventh Circle, on a 30 km range. The New Church will be able to accommodate up to 600 persons and 500 in the multi-purpose hall.
The last part of the work has started at the end of 2015, it will include installing a sound system, lighting, renovating the baptism area, sacristy and the confessional. The work in the multi-purpose hall is still in progress as well. Painting, plastering works, electrical and mechanical installations, new doors, renovating the kitchen and the bathroom, installing cablings and a lighting systems.
The project will be concluded in six to eight months aiming to be finished during 2016. It will directly benefit around 1,500 parishioners and the sisters’ community. Thanks to the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, this project was made possible.
