On November 25th 2015, the Latin Parish of Gaza celebrated another project completion.
The rehabilitation of the parish multipurpose hall was carefully designed to serve all the community. After its rehabilitation, now features a large hall with a stage for theater plays, presentations, gatherings, wedding parties and many social events. As part of the project, the main entrance of the hall was renovated, new emergency exits were configured, and complete air conditioning system was installed at the hall and rooms. Renovation of the bathrooms, and complete kitchen work was conducted, furnished with new equipment, providing a new seating and dining area. In addition to that, a game room, a library, a computer lab and even a gym were delivered.
For the inauguration of this project, Fr. Imad Twal, General Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate, blessed the project, along with Fr. Mario da Silva, parish priest of Gaza. The celebration took place on a sunny morning in Gaza, with the presence of the parishioners, students, the two sister’s communities, engineering and contractors teams that worked on the project, and several friends of the parish.
Thanks to the generous support and donation of the Pontifical Mission of Jerusalem, represented by Dr. Sami Yousef, Regional Director; The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem was able to implement this important project for the Latin parish of Gaza.
