TAYBEH – On October 19th, Taybeh Latin Parish in Palestine reopened its Youth Center for the community, with a small celebration gathering parishioners, youth and the priests from the Melkite and orthodox churches.
The renovation of the center included: new furniture and equipment, games, sound system, a printer, general repairs, painting, upgrade of computers and new services for the students. “We estimate that about 400 people will benefit of this new facility, among them are our children, youth and parishioners”, celebrates Taybeh priest Fr.Aziz Halawe.
The restoration of the Youth Center was possible due to a generous assistance of our donors and friends from Brazil.
The new center concept is to serve as a multiuse facility, and it is currently featuring: a library, a computer station for study, game room, cafeteria, movie/cinema, small gatherings, music room, lounge, language classes (Arabic, Spanish and Italian), chorus, catechism, meetings with the youth and a service center to provide the university students with materials and stationary.
