JORDAN – The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem has completed the project of Rehabilitation and Furnishing the Basement Floor at Our Lady of Peace Center in Jordan.

The new rehabilitated basement floor comprises of a multi-purpose hall which is considered the most polyvalent space in the center. The hall will accommodate different events like weddings, baptisms, priests’ ordinations, consolations, after-mass gatherings, conferences, scouts and youth meetings and activities, etc. The direct beneficiaries of the project are all the visitors of the center, students, faithful congregation, seminarians, scouts, priests, LPJ staff members and events attendees. The project includes establishing a kitchen, laundry rooms and bathrooms to serve all occasions that will be held in the hall.

With the benevolent contribution and generous support of the Belgium Lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, the project was made possible and the hall is fully rehabilitated and accessible for daily use. The Belgium Lieutenancy, represented by Mr. Jacque van Rijckevorsel and Mr. Dominique Eeman, have visited the project and inaugurated it in February 2017.

The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem is grateful for all its supporters that always strive to provide the best for the indigenous people of the Holy Land and ensure the continuity of the LPJ biblical mission by serving its communities everywhere.
